Jakes New Big Boy Room

Jacob and I have slowly been working on Jakes new "Farm" room so we can eventually move him into it before the baby comes to give him some time to adjust to it being different. Slowly but surely, it's coming along. Here are a few updated pics. I will post more when we are finished.

We decided that since Jake is almost 8 months old and we haven't had his pictures taken since he was 9 weeks old, we needed to get them done. Sounded like a good idea, however...Jake has become very entertained with making noises and sticking his tongue out! Here are some of the LOVELY pics that we got of our little monkey yesterday.

1st Trimester Screening Results

The doctor just called me and said that they got the results back from my 1st trimester screening that was done last week and Baby Young #2 appears to be healthy and tested negative for down syndrome.

Next drs appt is this Thursday at 9:45am.

I realized 2 things this morning...

1. My mother lost her mind when she had her first grandchild (Jake)
2. Jake is SPOILED rotten

My office didn't open this morning until 10am due to the weather so I decided that I better start getting things organized a little at a time when I have the chance before I really don't have any time with 2 kiddos to take care of.

I spent 2 hours this morning cleaning out Jakes closet and I ended up with THREE garbage bags FULL of clothes that don't fit him anymore. Really, what 7 month old boy has that many clothes that are to small?! I knew that my mom always came with more clothes for him when she came to visit but I guess I didn't realize how many it was until now. I'm hoping more and more after seeing all of those clothes (many still with tags) that Baby Young #2 will be another BOY.

Jake is 7 months old & FINALLY getting his first tooth!

Hopefully the rest of his teeth are a little easier on him than this first one has been because he has not been this whinny in 7 months. Poor Baby! I'll TRY to get some pics but he is more interested in taking the camera from me now than letting me take his picture.

Correction...

Dr appt isn't until tomorrow at 2pm. Good thing they called to confirm the appt or I would have been in The Woodlands today for no reason.

I don't know if I'm gonna go to the appt because it really isn't going to make a difference if they tell me the baby might have down syndrome at this point other than make this pregnancy more stressful for the next 7 months. I don't want to go but I guess I'll talk to Jacob about it tonight and see how he feels about it.

BOY!!!

Everyone start getting prepared for another little BOY Young. All the websites that I have checked say that we will be having another boy. Fine with me! Having another boy will be so much cheaper and easier.

I guess we will know for sure in late August. ;)

Next dr appt, tomorrow at 2pm.

Pregnancy #1 vs. #2

Up until a few days ago, my pregnancies have been the exact same which has had me convinced that I'm having another sweet little boy. I'm much more tired this time but I think that's because I have Jake to entertain and don't get as much rest as I did last time. But, the past couple of days I feel like I could cry for no reason at all! That makes me think I'm having a girl because a girl has to be more emotional than a little boy. I don't remember ever feeling like this when I was pregnant with Jake.

Next Dr appointment is February 8th for an ultrasound for them to screen for down syndrome.

Here is a cute saying that I saw on a website...yes, it made me almost cry!
