More of Jakes trailriding pics

As if Jake looking identical to Jacob wasn't enough proof that he was a Young, he also LOVES trailriding just like his daddy. Here are some more of his trailriding pics...another trailrider in the making!

Jake's 1st Easter Weekend!

We had a busy Easter weekend but Jake had a blast! We started out Thursday evening and went to some friends house for their annual trail ride. Jake went with this time and he loved being outside all weekend and riding his horse. Friday I kept him in the wagon with me and he was OK but got a little bored with just sitting there with me all day. So Saturday Jacob decided he would ride "Newt" so that Jake could ride with him some. Jake absolutely LOVED being on the horse and it probably helped that he was with Jacob. He is turning out to be a daddy's boy! I guess it will be a good thing when Jaycie comes for Jake to want to be with his daddy but right now, it kinda hurts my feelings that he wants his daddy the minute he sees him.

Then Sunday, we went to Houston to have Easter lunch at Nana & Pop's. Uncle Rick hired an Easter Bunny to come surprise all the kids and they were super excited. Well Cameron was anyways! Carson was terrified and Jake just kept looking at him and smiling. I really thought he would be scared of him.

We had a wonderful 1st Easter with our little cowboy! I can't believe he is 10 months old already.

This past weekends painting party...

I decided that a girl needed to have a pink room instead of tan/brown so my mom and I had a little painting party. I didn't tell her that our party would only consist of the two of us and lots to be done! I'm not so sure she would have agreed to come for the party had I told her the whole project that I had planned. I started painting the trim and doors white Friday afternoon about 2pm. Mom got to the house about 6 and we painted the solid walls and taped the first set of stripes that night, we finished up about 11:30pm. Jake woke us up about 5:30am and we were at Lowes at 7 to buy more paint. We painted the first set of stripes and while they were drying we went shopping. Came home and started painting again, we got it all finished about 4pm Saturday afternoon. What in the world was I thinking!! I never want to see another paint brush again. If this child comes out with a PeePee, he is going to stay in a pink room for hiding it from us. OR...Jacob and I will move in the pink room and the baby will get the brown room. I'm sure Jacob would LOVE that. :)

I also came to realize that sewing the bedding while having a 9 1/2 month old to tend to would be impossible so my step dad bought the bedding for us. He said he would buy it if he didn't have to come help paint. SMART MAN!!

We still have to get the bedding and crib in the room, they should be delivered this week.

We are some pics:

What is it about having a girl that makes me think I can sew???

Once again I feel like I'm in the sewing mood since I found out we are expecting a girl. I still have a lot of the stuff that I made when I thought Jake was a girl and I can't find crib bedding to go with all of it so...I'm going to ATTEMPT to make it. I will probably wonder what in the heck I was thinking about half way into this project but hopefully it turns out cute. I'm gonna start on it pretty soon so if it's a complete disaster, I can go buy something. I'll be sure to post some pictures of the progress the room is taking from being Jake's cowboy nursery to Jaycie's girly nursery. Please pray that I still have my hair at the end of all of this!! :)

2nd Opinion & It's Still A GIRL!!

I decided that I wanted to get another opinion to be sure that this baby was really a GIRL, even though we were told that it was, I just wanted a second opinion because I really thought it was a boy before yesterday. My pregnancies have been the EXACT same so I thought for sure it was another boy. I guess I was wrong!

Here are some of the ultrasound pics from this morning to prove that it's a GIRL!

It's a GIRL!!

Our family is complete and Jacob finally agrees with me that we are done after this one! It's a GIRL!! We found out this morning about 10 am and Jacob told me that I had an hour to tell people or he was going to start making phone calls. I couldn't let him be the first to tell people like he did about the pregnancy in the first place so I sent out a mass text message. I don't know what good it did because NO ONE believed me!! It's an expensive birthday present but a good one. We are both excited! Jake will be soooo confused because Jacob and I call Sadie his sister when we talk about her to him. Poor Baby!!

Half Way There...Today Marks 20 Weeks!

We are on the down hill slope. However, this is when time starts seeming like it is creeping by. My pants are starting to get tight and it's starting to get HOT outside. It's going to be one LONG summer. Maybe I should move to Bandera until the summer is over so I can just sit in the Medina River everyday! I can't wait for Memorial weekend. www.babycenter.com says that Baby Young #2 should be about the size of a banana this week. 10 inches long and weighing about 10.5 oz.

New Baby Boy Names

We have decided on 2 baby boy names. Jace or Jarett! So yall go to the new poll on the left side of the blog and put in your votes. We find out on Thursday what the baby is.

Our eventful weekend!

Saturday Jake started crawling! 9 months old and he is just now crawling but at least we are making progress. I was sitting on the living room floor with him and I had a glass of sweet tea, he wanted it and crawled towards me. I quickly ran to get my phone and sat on the other side of the living room from him and he crawled to me again, this time I recorded him with my phone since Jacob wasn't home to see it. He did it 3 times and then discovered that "army crawling" was much faster and easier so now that's all he will do. Maybe this week at daycare will get him going!

Then Sunday, the weather was perfect so we decided to bring Jake with us in the wagon when we rode horses. He did SOOOO good! He rode with his JuJu and LOVED it. We bought another horse also yesterday that we think will end up being Jakes when he is old enough to ride but until then, he can ride him with me or Jacob.
