We got another little bit of hope this morning!

Last week Roxie told me to go buy an IntelliGender (at home gender prediction test) so we could start planning the babys room. Sounded like a great idea until we looked online and they were $30. I could wait until my 20 week visit to find out instead of spending $30 on a test. Or...so I thought I could wait. Saturday my mom was out shopping again for the baby. I told her that we needed to quit buying stuff until we knew for sure if it was a boy or girl. Then I remembered about the IntelliGender test, so mom agreed that she would pay for it if we went and got it. CVS is the only place that sells it and it was $40!! We were super excited until we read the instructions...you have to take the test first thing in the morning or you can get false BOY results. I didn't want anything to say Boy so we had to wait. Good thing I read the instructions first because Jacob wanted me to go in the bathroom at CVS and do it so we could find out. He wanted it to say boy so bad. Poor Jake...he doesn't want to be the only boy in the house.

So I took the test this morning before he left for work. You have to follow the instructions and then leave it alone for 10 mins for the results to show up. That was a VERY long 10 mins. I just thought the 3 mins you have to wait on a pregnancy test was long. Jacob kept going in the bathroom and looking at it and telling me that it said it's a boy. HAHA...he thought he was hilarious. 10 mins passed and it showed GIRL! So now, 2 different doctors and the IntelliGender all say it's a girl so I'm starting to believe it. Hopefully all three of these things aren't wrong!

This is what a determined mommy-to-be can get done ALONE!!

Last night Jacob needed to study so I took it upon myself to get the baby furniture put together. After reading the instructions that said "Assembly WILL require at least two adults"...I was a little scared that I wouldn't be able to handle it. Apparently they were talking about average people and not a determined mommy-to-be because...I did it all by myself! My back was killing me and I wanted to quit but I couldn't because I told Jacob that I was doing it no matter what those people said. Actually...I said "They Don't Know Me!"...yes...he laughed and thought I was crazy!

Here are some pictures of the completed projects. Now we just need paint and decorations and this baby will be set and we don't even know what it is for sure yet. I'm gonna wait until after my 20 week ultrasound to do anything else.

The Bassinet (I didn't build this...it's the one that Jacob & his sisters used as babies)

The Crib (Project #1...VERY easy and I thought no problem...Why do they think you need TWO people?)

The Changing Table (This was the 2nd project...also easy so I'm thinking..whoever wrote these instructions were obviously not very capable if I'm doing it all by myself)

The Dresser (3rd and final project...and THANK GOD! At this point, my back in killing me, I'm tired and I'm thinking...heck with needing TWO people, I should have had at least THREE! One for each piece of furniture. Maybe next time I'll believe when it says at least two people needed.)

This is a pic of all the clothes that this baby has already!

13 WEEKS TODAY!!

These next 7 weeks are going to be LONG!

7 more weeks until we can for sure start buying Pink stuff without wondering if we are crazy! The day after I went to the doctor, I already picked out how I want to decorate the room. Pink & brown zebra! I know, that's so predictable with me but...it's really cute! Even better, my Nana said she thinks she can make this stuff for me. So it will be cheaper and mean more than just buying it at a store.
My mom came down Sunday and brought Baby Young #1 about 7 pink outfits AND 1 boy outfit just in case. I made sure she had the receipt so we could take the boy outfit back! Then the guys went to the deer lease and we went shopping because we just wanted to "LOOK" at the girl stuff. Guess what...we came home with another 4 PINK outfits and the cutest pink newborn crocs. Jacob and Tim thought we had lost our minds.

Next stop, Wal-Mart! Mom and Tim bought the baby bedroom furniture. We got a crib, changing table and dresser for only $199! I love it. If only this stuff came put together already. I tried to talk Jacob into putting it together for me Sunday night but no such luck. Last night while he was working outside, I took all the pieces out of the box and laid them out for him, thinking just maybe that would get him to do it for me. NOPE! He does have some excuses because we had to go to a viewing last night for our neighbor but...8pm isn't to late to start...is it? 2nd excuse that I'll give him is that this baby won't be here until the end of July. So he half way got off the hook. Tonight, I'm doing it myself if he doesn't help! I've already made up my mind. He is studying for a test and doesn't want the TV on anyways so this will give me something to do. Everyone keep their fingers crossed that it doesn't collapse the first time the baby gets put in it.

Maybe we have been working on a baby GIRL name for a reason!!

Yesterday was my 12 week check-up/ultrasound. They also checked the babies measurements for developmental problems and all checked out good. So Baby Young #1 should be healthy.

My appt was at 9am and my phone rang at 8:45am and it was the doctors office. What could they be calling me for 15 mins before my appt? Just my luck, the ultrasound tech quit that morning and they didn't think I would be able to get my ultrasound. So Nana, Pop and Tiffani had all come for nothing. Luckily they found a place that could squeeze me in at 10:30 in the same building. I was happy with that but the lady that quit was the one that told me she would guess at the gender and hadn't been wrong in 16 years. I could only hope that the new place would guess for me too. We got in the room and that was the first thing that I asked, she said NO that she wouldn't guess that it was to early to tell anything. So I was pretty bummed about that. Then, after a long time of looking at the baby, she said..."Well I'm really leaning toward something but I'm not going to tell you in case I'm wrong." Did she really think that I was gonna let her say that and then not tell me? So I begged her to tell me and I had to promise that I wouldn't be mad if she was wrong. She looked again and then said she thinks it's a GIRL but she wouldn't go out and buy anything pink yet. We got some really good 3-D ultrasound pics and a 3 sec video of HER moving around. It's amazing that at 12 weeks you can see all of that. It makes me never want another regular ultrasound again.

We were finished or at least we thought so when the doctor walked in and said that she was studying a new way to tell the gender of a baby earlier on by measuring the position of the genitals and the spine. A 30 degree angle or less is a girl and around 50 degrees is a boy. She wanted to know if she could practice on me. HECK YEAH!! We didn't tell her what the other lady had guessed just so we could see what she would guess. She did her measurements and the angle was...24 DEGREES!! Yea....she said I'm guessing a GIRL! I won't have another ultrasound until 20 weeks so we will see if they were right. Keep your fingers crossed! Our families both need a cute baby girl around!

Look in this bottom right corner and you can see where it says 24 degrees!

New & much more fun way for exercising...Forget walking!

This weekend was so much fun. Some of our friends (Brit & Wes) got married Saturday and then had a reception at the VFW. We haven't been out dancing in a LONG time so Jacob & I had a great time hanging out with friends and dancing A LOT. My legs are sore today. The doctor told me that I should be walking everyday to make labor easier...she needs to start telling people to dance. I got way more exercise from dancing than I ever would from walking.

Brandon, Samantha & Clay (4 months old) came to stay the night with us to go the reception. Clay was so good! Jacob and I played with him a lot. Practice makes prefect! Two people at the reception asked me what my baby's name was because I held him so much. I love babies and how they smell is like nothing else in the world. I'm getting super excited now. I wish we didn't have another 8 weeks to go before we find out what the little one is going to be.

Ohhh...and Jacob thought I was crazy but I made him get out the old bassinet from our storage building Saturday morning at 8am in 18 degree weather just so I could see what it looked like. It's the bassinet that they used as babies and when Julie gave it to us it was wrapped up so I had never seen it. It didn't seem like a crazy thing to ask him to do but he thought it was funny that I couldn't wait.

We have picked out 3 girl names that we both like so I changed the poll on the left of this blog. Help us decide between...
*Jaycie Lee Young (would be cute if we have a boy now or later to have Jake & Jaycie)
*Addision Lee Young (we could call her Addi for short)
*Emma Lee Young (we still like Emma but it's VERY common)

Dr. appt Thursday for another ultrasound. I can't wait.

Help!! We need some ideas for cute GIRL baby names.

I thought we had it all figured out WAY before we even know what the baby is going to be but then the Today Show and the Houston Chronicle both posted that "Emma" was the number 1 girl name for this decade. I can't pick something so common.

So send us some ideas.

I know I want the middle name to be Lee so I have to find something cute to go with that.

11 Weeks Pregnant today and Baby Young #1 got it's second package from Grandma!

My mom told me that she had brought the baby a couple of cute outfits and me some fat people clothes. I expected the FedEx box to be small. Nope, it was huge and stuffed with baby stuff... Two VERY cute outfits, receiving blankets, another soft blanket, diapers and wipes. Oh...and of course I had stuff in there too, 3 pair of fat girl pants and 3 shirts. If this baby isn't completely rotten, I'll be VERY surprised!

Neta also started buying diapers for us last week. Jacob couldn't understand why she would be buying diapers for us already until we went to the store and saw that they are $9 for a pack that probably won't last a few days. So we are going to buy a pack every time we go grocery shopping to start getting a supply ready.
